The Google Pixel 9 sets a new standard for ‘base model’ flagship phones. While the iPhone 15 and Galaxy S24 feel like a step down from their Pro and Ultra brethren, the Pixel 9 gives you all of the best features of the Pixel 9 Pro, including the same great cameras and AI-ready specs. The new design is impressive and functional, and I love that this Pixel is twice as durable as last year’s model. While some AI features are still unproven, the Pixel 9 has a bright future ahead with years of new software on the way. I may have to change some habits to take full advantage of what this phone can do, but I’m excited to see what Google’s mobile AI vision entails.
